Nice to meet you. I’m Laura.

I’ve been working as a massage therapist for the last two years and have been graciously loving every minute!

Striving for most of my life to find my true professional calling, I finally found it in the health and wellness industry. Naturally taking to massage like a moth to a flame, there is nothing like waking up each day knowing I get to connect and heal someone who needs it. And let’s be honest, these days, we all need it.

I am beyond excited to have opened a space of my own to bring people into my creative world of healing. Whether that is with music, hydration and stretching tips, some great chit chat or even just a good ole elbow to the rhomboid, I’m here to improve your day by any means necessary.

When I’m not here working at REST, I also work at at the Hand & Stone in Chanhassen, who’s business I fully support and highly recommend if you cannot get in with me when you need to here.

So please. Take a beat, and come put your feet up.

Why should you get a massage?

Massage therapy works with your heart by reducing its workload improving the surface circulation. The relaxing response received from a massage also helps to reduce stress and anxiety via the sympathetic nervous system which is your fight or flight response.

Thus, an immediate benefit of massage is a feeling of deep relaxation and calm. This occurs because massage prompts the release of endorphins – the brain chemicals (neurotransmitters) that produce feelings of wellbeing. Levels of stress hormones, such as adrenalin, cortisol and norepinephrine, are then reduced.

You are just one massage away from a good mood.

  • The relaxing response received from a massage helps to reduce stress and anxiety via the sympathetic nervous system which is your fight or flight response

  • As topical CBD enters through the skin, it takes advantage of the high concentration of cannabinoid rec there and interacts with our bodies natural cannabinoids we produce. They are receptors for maintaining homeostasis across many bodily functions, inducing pain management.

  • The Infrared PEMF treatment can combines two powerful healing technologies for the ultimate recovery. PEMF grounds you in earth’s magnetic field for a full-body reset, while Infrared’s deeply penetrating heat helps to ease chronic pain, recover from workouts, deepen your meditations, or experience total-body relaxation.

  • A deep tissue massage is a longer process of getting the muscles to relax so the massage therapist can get to the lower layer of connective tissue. It involves applying sustained pressure using slow, deep strokes to target the inner layers of your muscles and connective tissues. This helps to break up scar tissue that forms following an injury, and reduce muscle tension

Tid-bits!

  • I LOVE to read and write. My nose has been in a book since I was a young kid. Mostly a fan of romance, fantasy and mystery/crime so if you know any good book clubs I could join, hit me up!

  • I actually have a bachelors degree in theatrical set design and stage management from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse. So as you can imagine, my roots in theater go back even farther than that and I will forever be a musical theatre nut! Currently residing on the board for a community theater in New Hope with my family, I love to support the arts!

  • If you hadn’t noticed a creative trend. I also sing and perform at coffee shops from time to time. Music is a huge passion of mine that you may see reflected in my choice of music and the decision to add music emersion sessions into my business. #SwiftysUnite!

  • I have a wonderful husband and step son who support me and all my dreams! They helped make this new space happen and I wouldn’t be who I am or where I am today without them!
